BYPHS were really helpful for me and my sister over 10 yrs ago when my mum moved to Scotland and we didn’t want to go. they were always available if we wanted any advice or support from them. Linda and Becs were extremely helpful for us, and when it was time for us to move on they were still there for us. Even though it was a long time ago, we are still in contact with everyone at BYPHS and they are always pleased to see us.
Trinity House Drop-in
BYPHS provides a drop-in service at our main office in Bolton town centre for young people living on the scheme. At drop-in the young people can listen to music, play pool, meet new young people and battle it out on the PlayStation 3. The young people can also watch TV, DVDs, and use the computer suite.
Drop-in provides a safe place for young people to come on a Wednesday evenings between 4 pm – 7.30 pm, where they can socialise with friends, meet new people and use the facilities we have on offer. It gives the young people something to do and a place to go.
There are various activities here including arts and crafts, games, group work on budgeting, sexual health and substance abuse, IT suite, pool table and film matinee afternoons. The aim of this service is to reduce isolation, offer free activities, and enhance the support we offer.
